MusiCorps launches new Songwriting program

In March, we began working with Lincoln Middle School music teacher Nate Wingert, to teach the craft of songwriting to his 8th grade Modern Band class. A rotating cast of four MusiCorps songwriting instructors will be visiting the classroom between now and the end of the year to guide students through the steps of crafting a song: from deciding on chord progressions and writing lyrics to creating musical arrangements and ultimately learning how to track and record their songs with studio equipment.

We plan to continue developing this program to deliver to other classrooms and schools in the future!
